Abstract
It was hypothesized that skeletal aging results in curve distortion of the orbital aperture. Data were compiled from a cross-sectional study of the Robert J. Terry human skull collection at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. Statistical analyses suggest that postadult differential growth results in progressive distortion of the orbital aperture. These changes may have both cosmetic and functional consequences.Entities:
