Abstract
Callus, suspension, and normal and hairy root cultures of Linum austriacum produced a new arylnaphthalene lignan, 3,4-dimethoxy-3',4'-methylenedioxy-2,7'-cycloligna-7,7'-dieno-9,9'-lactone (1, 0.03-0.73% dry wt), together with justicidin B (2, 0.18-1.69% dry wt). The structure of 1 was established using spectroscopic methods.Entities:
