Abstract
Adhesion to the intestinal mucosa is one of the main selection criteria for probiotic strains. The adhesion of commonly used probiotic strains to human intestinal tissue pieces and mucus was assessed. The strains tested adhered to the intestinal tissue at low levels and adhered to the intestinal mucus at higher levels.Entities:
