Isolation and characterization of a lactose-positive strain of Proteus morganii.

P M Tierno, P Steinberg.

Abstract

The characterization of a lactose-positive Proteus morganii is presented. The increased incidence of such atypical microorganisms emphasizes the need for a thorough examination of Escherichia coli-like colonies by clinical microbiologists.
