Abstract
The primary structure of crotamine, a basic toxin isolated from the venom of the South American rattle-snake Crotalus durissus terrificus has been determined. The polypeptide chain is composed of 42 residues of amino acids. Crotamine shows a molecular weight of 4900 and contains 6 half cystine, 9 lysine, 2 arginine, 2 histidine and 2 tryptophan residues.Entities:
