Abstract
The province of Alberta is located in western Canada, bordering the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains (see O'Loughlin et al., Figure 1). The population of 2.7 million is mostly located in two cities (Calgary and Edmonton) with the balance dispersed in smaller rural centres throughout the province. Principal industries include agriculture, forestry, telecommunications, oil and gas. These industries have helped create a strong provincial economy.Mesh:
