Determination of Na+ and K+ in urine with ion-selective electrodes in an automated analyzer.

A Pelleg, G B Levy.

Abstract

We applied an automatic potentiometric electrolyte analyzer (STAT/ION) to the routine determination of Na+ and K+ in urine samples, and found a high correlation with results obtained by flame photometry. The electrodes were selective and no obvious interferences were encountered in the limited number of samples available in this study.
