Abstract
Autistic spectrum disorders are a group of neurodevelopmental conditions that are increasingly capturing the attention of clinicians and investigators. New insights from genetics and neuropathophysiology of autism will increasingly inform treatment. Presently, individualized treatment approaches typically include a mix of behavioral and, occasionally, pharmacotherapeutic strategies. Concerning the latter, exquisite sensitivity to medication is not uncommon in some children with autism.Entities:
