Abstract
The function of leukocytes is regulated by the integration of positive and negative signals received through cell surface receptors. Related receptors with similar extracellular domains and often binding the same ligands can transmit either inhibitory or activating signals. Studies are beginning to reveal how these 'paired receptors' control immune functions.Mesh:
