Abstract
Distraction laminoplasty is a technical modification of routine laminectomy that allows decompression of the lumbar spinal canal with maximal bone preservation. The technique involves the application of a distraction force, in conjunction with an undercutting laminoplasty technique. It is safe, easily applied, and allows excellent canal visualization and decompression with minimal bone resection. The purpose of the current study is to describe the technical aspects of the technique.Mesh:
