A melanocytic tumor of the esophagus.

Abstract

The author describes a heavily pigmented, encapsulated tumor within the wall of the esophagus of an adult male patient. The differential diagnosis is discussed. It is concluded that the tumor is probably benign and of neurogenic origin.
