Abstract
A new technique is described which enables a selective tinctorial visualization of human blood basophils in autoradiographic preparations. Consecutive administration of 5-aminoacridine hydrochloride and aldehyde fuchsin rendered a sufficient preservation of basophils preventing leaching of their water soluble granules. Extensive control tests provided sufficient evidence to exclude chemographic artifacts produced by other histochemical precedures. The technique eliminates the obstacles to study the kinetics of human blood basophils and their realtionshp to atopic hypersensitivity reactions applying tritiated thymidine and radioiodine labeled IgE or corresponding antisera.Entities:
