Abstract
Peptide inhibitors isolated from libraries either through genetic screens or binding assays have gained visibility in the past year - especially with the publication of four studies in model systems (two in yeast, two in Escherichia coli). These and other studies demonstrate that forward and reverse genetic experiments with peptides can be extremely efficient in validating candidate drug targets and in defining elements of biochemical pathways.Entities:
