Abstract
We report on 7 patients with severe, complicated Kawasaki disease treated with oral prednisolone, after apparently unsuccessful intravenous immunoglobulin treatment. An additional eighth patient was a Jehovah's Witness, who was given steroid and aspirin as first-line treatment. These findings support a beneficial role for steroids in intravenous immunoglobulin-resistant Kawasaki disease.Entities:
