Prostaglandin in calcium and bone metabolism.

J W Dietrich, L G Raisz.

Abstract

The effect of prostaglandins on bone resorption and formation is reviewed. The prostaglandins probably play a role in pathological changes in bone, e.g., those occurring in immune responses and neoplastic disease. Their physiological role is unknown.
