Abstract
The W3110 strain of Escherichia coli K-12 is unusually sensitive to adenine. Inhibition of growth is relieved by a combination of thiamine and uridine (or cytidine). In the presence of histidine, inhibition is more severe and is relieved by a combination of thiamine, glycine, uridine (or cytidine), and inosine (or guanosine).Entities:
