Abstract
The recently determined crystal structure of the complex between an integrin I domain and a synthetic collagen peptide shows a collagen triple-helix engaged in specific macromolecular recognition and binding. This structure confirms a previously proposed binding mechanism for integrin I domains and has important implications for integrin activation and signalling.Entities:
