Abstract
Intracellular fatty acid-binding proteins associate with fatty acids and other hydrophobic biomolecules in an internal cavity, providing for solubilization and metabolic trafficking. Analyses of their in vivo function by molecular and genetic techniques reveal specific function(s) that fatty acid-binding proteins perform with respect to fatty acid uptake, oxidation and overall metabolic homeostasis.Entities:
