Abstract
Actin-related proteins (Arps) participate in a diverse array of cellular processes. They modulate assembly of conventional actin, contribute to microtubule-based motility catalyzed by dynein, and serve as integral components of large protein complexes required for gene expression. We highlight here recent work aimed at understanding the roles played by Arps in each of these processes.Mesh:
