Caries management.

This article has attempted to gather up the evidence presented in the rest of this issue to give dentists a practical overview of the management of the carious process. The major points are that a caries risk assessment is not only logical, it is achievable; management of caries is by preventive treatment, but operative dentistry has a role to play; in the final analysis, it is the patient who manages caries.
