Abstract
Single cortical auditory neurons sequentially isolated within orthogonal electrode penetrations in the mouse were studied using tonal stimulation. They had common functional properties, such as firing pattern, best frequency, minimum threshold, sharpness of frequency tuning and onset latency. The finding suggests that there is columnar organization in the cortex.Entities:
