Severe subconjunctival haemorrhage associated with malaria.

Abstract

PURPOSE: To describe a patient with sudden onset of subconjunctival haemorrhage related to malaria.
METHODS: A case report.
RESULTS: The patient, who had a history of malaria, had bilateral subconjunctival haemorrhages. General examination showed no abnormality except malaria. All signs of conjunctival haemorrhages resolved later.
CONCLUSION: Ocular malaria should be considered in the differential diagnosis of subconjunctival haemorrhages.
