Abstract
Hypocalcaemia was experimentally induced to cattle of different age groups, and the resulting model showed that intraplasmic parathormone-induced calcium rise due to activation of calcium from the apatite crystals of the skeletal depot was a function of age and a sufficiently plausible explanation for age-dependent growing morbidity rates in the context of hypocalcaemic hysteroparalysis in concomitance with parturition. High vitamine D3 doses are recommended for systematic prophylaxis.Entities:
