Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia in a patient with essential thrombocythaemia.

Abstract

A patient who developed chronic lymphocytic leukaemia 6 years after an initial diagnosis of essential thrombocythaemia is described. This association, which was not treatment related, is extremely rare and only two other cases have been previously described in the literature.
