Availability of Lyme disease vaccine.

Abstract

On December 21, 1998, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) licensed LYMErix (SmithKline Beecham Biologicals, Reixensart, Belgium), a new vaccine against Lyme disease (LD). This report summarizes information about this vaccine and provides epidemiologic information about LD relevant to vaccine use.
