Lamellated sensory nerve endings in guinea-pig adrenals.

O Habura, K Unsicker, U Zwarg.

Abstract

Lamellated sensory nerve endings were observed in the adrenal gland of guinea-pigs located at the corticomedullary junction close to venous blood vessels. We suggest that they form the afferents of a system contributing to a local regulation of adrenal blood flow.
