Abstract
Sister Joseph's nodule is traditionally regarded as a sign of poor prognosis in untreatable malignancy. We describe a patient with a metastatic umbilical nodule in non-Hodgkin's lymphoma who had a good outcome. The possible mechanisms of tumour spread to the umbilicus and reasons for its rarity in lymphoma are discussed. The need for histological confirmation to exclude treatable disease is emphasized.Entities:
