Abstract
Transmission of Hepatitis-B virus (HBV), Hepatitis-C virus (HCV) and Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from medical personnel to patients has been observed by many authors. In Germany, however, neither this type of nosocomial infection nor preventive measures have been discussed to date. This review deals with 302 cases documented in national and international journals (HBV 289, HCV 6, HIV 7). Methods of prevention (especially in surgery) are discussed.Entities:
