Abstract
Recurring subareolar abscess is an infrequent but troublesome disease of the breast in young women. On the basis of a review of the literature and four own cases the fistelous character of the disease is stressed. The histology behind the lesion is described because if this is not fully understood this chronic disease will often lead to unnecessarily mutilating surgery with poor results. Finally the simple surgical procedure for an effective treatment of this condition is illustrated.Entities:
