A total of 52 sabbaticals leaves were analyzed with successful matching for 43 pairs. RESULTS AND
CONCLUSIONS: Taking a sabbatical leaves is associated with a significant higher chance of hospital promotion (ORMH = 7.5; CI 95%, 1.71-32.78; o = 0.004), but there is not a significantly higher chance of academic promotion (ORMH = 0.66; CI del 95%, 0.23-1.83; p = 0.60).
