Abstract
Coenzyme A (CoA) is well known for its importance in various metabolic pathways. The recent determination of the structures of several CoA-dependent N-acylating enzymes highlights the importance of the acyl-CoA molecule for intracellular regulation and reveals a novel fold. The N-acetyltransferase fold defines yet another protein superfamily and adds to the already diverse world of CoA-dependent enzymes.Entities:
