Abstract
To evaluate the role of echocardiography for predicting and accurately detecting thrombi in patients with abnormal coronary arteries after Kawasaki disease, we reviewed the echocardiograms of 40 consecutive patients and compared echocardiographic findings with angiographic findings when available. Patients with Kawasaki disease who had coronary artery aneurysms > or =5 mm had significantly greater multivessel involvement, thrombi, and persistent coronary abnormalities than those with diameters <5 mm.Entities:
