Abstract
Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP) is classically described in patients with cirrhosis and nephrotic syndrome. However, SBP rarely occurs in patients with malignant ascites. We report a patient with gastric cancer with ascites, who developed SBP. Clinicians need to be aware of this complication in patients with malignant ascites.Entities:
