Methods and data analyses in radioligand-receptor binding: unnecessary transformations may cause biased results.

G Nowak1.

Abstract

Radioligand-receptor binding assay is a very popular technique widely used in medical sciences. This article reviews methods used in receptor binding assay and provides critical comments for some commonly used approaches of the data transformations which, when improperly applied, may cause biased results and in consequence misinterpretation of the experimental findings.
