Assessing oral health outcomes for orthodontics--measuring health status and quality of life.

K O'Brien1, L Kay, D Fox, N Mandall.

Abstract

This paper considers the rationale behind the use of quality of life measures for orthodontic treatment. Current quality of life measures that have been developed for dentistry are not always applicable for orthodontic treatment. Possible methods using preliminary data for the development of these measures for orthodontics are described.
