Abstract

Cystic lesions of the parathyroid gland associated with hyperparathyroidism are decidedly uncommon and may lead to confusion when appropriate work-up and therapy are instituted. A case of a functioning parathyroid cyst is presented, followed by a concise review of pertinent literature and recommendations for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
