Abstract
Bacterial endocarditis predominantly involves cardiac valves and is associated with many potential complications. Valvular dysfunction resulting from disruption of the structural integrity of valves are not infrequent. This report illustrates a rare case of endocarditis involving the interatrial septum which subsequently produced destruction of the structure resulting in an acquired atrial septal defect.Entities:
