Abstract
The allotypic markers Gla and Gld (present on chicken IgG molecules) and Mla and Mlc (present on IgM) have previously been defined. The inheritance of these markers was studied in the F2 progeny of a cross between birds of the inbred lines CB (Gla+,d-,Mla+,c-) and WA (Gla-,d+,Mla-,c+). The results suggest that antigens Gla and Gld, and Mla and Mlc, are genetically controlled by alleles at two loci (Gl and Ml, respectively) and also show that these loci are closely linked.Entities:
