Overview of special issue on adolescent suicide: risk, assessment, and treatment.

Regarding the pressing international health problem of adolescent suicide, the contributors to this special issue have provided new findings and perspectives around the theme of risk and its assessment. These contributions are summarized, and are viewed as examples of the reciprocal efforts of scientists and clinicians to systematize and deepen knowledge on adolescent suicide, and thus beneficially affect a pernicious health problem.
