Abstract
Successfully treated patients with no evidence of plasma viremia may continue to harbor stable reservoirs of HIV at multiple sites, including those shielded by blood-tissue barriers. HIV may be controllable, but few believe that it can be eradicated with the limited group of agents now available. Creative new pharmacologic strategies are needed, as well as increased commitment to the development of a safe and effective vaccine.Entities:
