A case of primary cardiac lymphoma: utility of serum soluble interleukin-2 receptor for noninvasive diagnosis.

H Makishima1, M Isobe, H Imamura.

Abstract

A 70-year-old woman was referred to us for the investigation of a tumor mass in the right sided of the heart. LDH and soluble interleukin-2 receptor (sIL2r) were elevated. She died one day after the initiation of radiation therapy because of intractable cardiogenic shock. Primary cardiac lymphoma was identified at autopsy. Measurement of serum sIL2r lead us to the antemortem diagnosis of the disease.
