Abstract
This study demonstrates that niacin supplementation decreases plasma fibrinogen and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in subjects with peripheral vascular disease randomized to receive niacin, warfarin, antioxidants, or placebo. Changes in fibrinogen levels are highly correlated with changes in low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (r = 0.61; p < 0.009) in subjects taking niacin.Entities:
