Abstract
The establishment of branched tubular epithelial structures is critical for the viability of multicellular organisms: the tracheal system in Drosophila and the vertebrate lung being two such structures. Although there are obvious differences in the complexity of these branched organs, many of the underlying mechanisms and genes regulating their development appear to have been evolutionarily conserved.Entities:
