Abstract
Insulin-like growth factors (IGF-I and -II) promote cellular mitosis and differentiation and have been implicated in fetal and placental growth. Together with the IGF receptors and IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs) they form a complex network, with tissue specific activity. This review will discuss the data generated to elucidate the functions of the IGF system during mouse development.Entities:
