Abstract
Neurofibromatosis is a neurocutaneous disorder, of which two distinct entities were defined: a peripheral type I neurofibromatosis, described by Von Recklinghausen, and a central type II affecting mainly the central nervous system. Type I is characterized by neural and cutaneous manifestations, as well as skeletal, oral, and jaw expression. The purpose of the presented case is to depict radiographic manifestations of type I neurofibromatosis in the mandible. The appearance of lesions on X-ray, differential diagnosis, and treatment considerations are discussed.Entities:
