Abstract
The best way to establish the place of interventions including pharmaceuticals, physical therapies, counselling, and surgery in general practice is by a trial. When undertaking such trials, care must be taken to ensure the reference population is appropriate, that recruitment strategies and the conduct of the trials do not introduce systematic bias, that adequate numbers of subjects are included to prove or disprove the question being researched and that the trial is ethical.Mesh:
