Abstract
Psychiatric disturbances are frequently observed during the course of endocrine disorders. This article discusses the history, current knowledge, assessment, and treatment of psychiatric morbidity in endocrine disorders. The primary focus is on biologic links between psychiatric symptoms and endocrine dysfunction. Psychiatric disorders associated with abnormalities of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroids, adrenals, and gonads are discussed as well as the chronic illness of diabetes mellitus.Entities:
