Abstract
Members of a large family of proteins, called the DEAD box family, are ribonucleic acid binding proteins with ATPase activity. Recent investigations into the developmentally and cell type-specific expression patterns of one family member, p68 RNA helicase, suggest that this protein might play a role in organ differentiation and/or maturation, and that its expression is subject to complex regulation.Entities:
