Abstract
This article introduces shade selection as an act of communication rather than a quasi-science that has failed for generations. The use of three simple items: the Pensler Shield, the Kodak Color Viewing Light Selector Card (P3-180), and a patient-oriented prescription form solve the major problems in shade selection. Shade selection must be taught with an understanding of the psychology of vision and a communication of what you think you see.Entities:
