Abstract
Hybrid enzymes are engineered to contain elements of two or more enzymes. Hybrid-enzyme approaches, by taking advantage of the vast array of enzymatic properties that nature has evolved, as well as the strategies that nature has used to evolve them, are becoming an increasingly important avenue for obtaining novel enzymes with desired activities and properties.Mesh:
